Sofia Blokhin is U18 rapid chess European champion!

The European Youth rapid and blitz chess championship has ended in the Slovenian city of Brezice. Woman FIDE master Sofia Blokhin brought a record three medals to the Estonian team! In the first event of the program, the rapid chess tournament, Sofia managed to win six games in a row, securing the title with one round to go. Second career European title achieved! In the team tournament for girls under 18, paired with Marina Levchenko (Vabaettur), Sofia won bronze. Silver in the blitz championship was the icing on the cake.
